(Bu yazı Filipinli Dostum Lunar’ın her iki konudaki sorusuna cevap olarak yazılan mektuptur.Yazının İngilizcesi mektup sonuna eklenecektir.)
Merhaba dostum,
Her zevkin ardından acı gelir,
Eğer zaman sahip olduğun her şeyi alıp götürürse,
Ve bu tanımın içeriği dünya gezgini içindir;
Sonsuz Selamlar

On Erik Erikson’s Theory of Psychosocial Development and Sigmund Freud’s Theories
Hello, my friend
The psychological and social development of each individual is proportional to the values of the society in which they live. Therefore, although definitions such as psychology and sociology have a common meaning as concepts, their processes such as functioning, formation, development, cause and effect relations are different. Although each definition is compatible in terms of the human model, there are very different factors in terms of content. For this reason, even if we support these arguments accepted as theory and find them relevant in the development of our thinking or think that they open a window in our world of ideas, we cannot accept them as absolute truth. Because it is individual and local
In this context, no individual and local analysis can produce a valid judgment about all people.
This is because everyone perceives the world according to their own abilities and interests. And human beings have limited possibilities for psychological and sociological exploration. For this reason, it produces in the synthesis of the information that enters its mind and the environment in which it realizes its experiences. In fact, he uses every phenomenon he creates with the raw materials at his disposal as a recycling. And this narrow space eventually takes its place in history as an old picture transformed into energy in the form of scientific memories.
However, as time creates new needs with its changes and innovative forms, there is a constant need for improvement and development.
Geographical discoveries that took months and years in the past can now be made in minutes. Diagnoses that took months can be provided in seconds. Therefore, it cannot be a healthy endeavor to rely on anything other than a truth that encompasses all times, is ageless and preserves its own natural dimensions.
Humanity’s greatest need in this context is to discover in its psychological structure the values that constitute the quality of the sensitive measure in the perfection of physiological creation.
The greatest value that needs to be explored in human psychology is the nature.
Although it has a closed source operating system as temperament, it is an open source software in the context of development and interaction.
Erik Erikson, in his field of specialization, inspired by the socio-cultural structure of the society he was in, made a presentation to the human search for meaning with an 8-stage definition of Psychosocial Development from birth to death based on human nature with 20th century mid-term data and argument possibilities.
As is known, these 8 stages are described as follows.
1. Stage of Hope: Trust and Insecurity (Oral-Sensory, Infancy, Under 1 Year)
2. The Will Phase: Autonomy vs. Shame/Suspicion (Muscular/Anal, Toddler Age, 1-2 Years)
3. Purpose Phase: Assertiveness vs. Guilt (Locomotor/Genital, Early Childhood, 3-6 Years)
4. Competence Stage: Resourcefulness vs. Inferiority (Delay, Middle Childhood, 7-10 years)
5. Loyalty Phase: Gaining Identity vs. Role Confusion (Adolescence, 11-19 Years)
6. Love Phase: Intimacy vs. Isolation (Early Adulthood, 20-44 Years)
7. Stage of Caring Productivity and Stagnation (Middle Adulthood, 45-64 Years)
8. Wisdom Stage: Ego Integrity Versus Despair (Late Adulthood, Age 65+)
Conclusions are based on personal observation, interaction with the literature and personal interpretation rather than evidence.
The topics chosen are organized in such a way as to reduce the credibility of objections and criticisms.
The novelty of the field has prioritized the dissemination of the argument and protected it from general criticism in the shadow of the fact that human beings are born, grow and die.
That is, there is an attempt to make explicit the intermediate staircases of the fact that human, once born, will pass through the stages of infancy, childhood, youth and old age.
And in this respect the theory does not require an opposing view.
Nor is there any drawback or side effect for the will to derive a prescription from this theory.
It can easily be utilized as an enjoyable, partly thought-provoking, analytical source.
In this context, since we think that Erik Erikson’s Psychosocial Development theory does not have a prescriptive and efficient application feature in terms of positively affecting sociology and psychology with its livable values, we will make our analysis on NATURA relation to human psychological and social development.
Natura, in its shortest sense, is a term that refers to all of the characteristics of human beings, such as their innate abilities and predispositions.
In the broadest sense, the first creation is the splitting of absolute nothingness and the emergence of a being with the purity of the first state, whose basic structure and character have not yet been affected by external influences.
Therefore, this pure self, unaffected by external influences, refers to the purity of the soul and being born with positive abilities and predispositions.
For each person, the journey of life is basically shaped in the following stages.
1. The fetal stage (the state of the unborn child in the womb until the time of birth),
Avoiding stress as much as possible during this period is one of the primary recommendations. Stress causes significant changes in the substances circulating in the blood. Nervous and tense pregnant women transmit this stress to their babies through cortisol and adrenaline in the bloodstream. Slowly touching the abdomen to show affection and attention to the baby has been reported to stimulate the baby’s developing senses. In addition, talking to babies, singing calm songs, listening to music with a certain tone and rhythm, and telling stories are known by scientific circles to be important for the sensory development of babies starting in the womb and are recommended to expectant mothers.
This means that human psychological development is directly related to a process that begins in the womb.
2. First Childhood Stage: Between the ages of 0 and 7 on average. This stage is the name of the process in which the child can distinguish between good and bad, useful and harmful in accordance with the level of cognition in the family and limited environment plan.
3. Second Childhood Stage: This is a period of time that lasts from the average age of 7 until the ages of 12-17 for girls and 15-18 for boys and covers the period of adolescence with various factors. The child in this period has the ability to recognize good and bad and is responsible for his/her choices.
4. First Youth Stage: It is a time period between 18 and 25 years of age. This stage is a period of life in which the process and related components such as acting with the principles of reason and logic, civilized communication principles in the social field, economic principles in daily life, obeying the laws in the individual sense, psychological responsibility, behavioral awareness, intellectual maturity are active, open to development, character is established, personality becomes clear, and a place is gained in society as an individual.
5. Second Youth Stage: It is a phase that lasts from the first youth phase until approximately 40 years of age. This is a stage that will determine the quality of both the present and future life of the person and is a stage in which habits gain immunity, character development stops, behaviors and emotions reach their peak and maturity and personality identity is acquired.
6. Middle Age and Old Age Stage: It is the stage between the ages of 40-60 and above. At this point, although the ages reaching 80 and 100 have a physiological value, socially and psychologically, they are the ages when people’s activities and activities are restricted.
7. The sixth stage is the eternity stage, which has the most subconscious and unconscious impact on human social and psychological development.
8. The phase of eternity manifests itself in a dominant way in relation to the inevitable destruction of the desire for eternal life by death.
Although abstract concepts are homeogenized by faith, the system of questioning based on the reality of human reason and emotional anatomy is constantly searching for answers about existence and extinction.
In this context, the most suffering minds belong to people who understand the quality and value of life. Deep thoughts about the closing of the window of the lovely world, the leaving behind of cherished things and habits, and the passing into a dimension that seems dark are at the center of the most secret, anxious and constant interest of human life.
In other words, without the clarity of the infinite stage, all the stages of human birth and development would be corroded from within, and the social and psychological structure of man would be based solely on procrastination and preoccupation.
Therefore, incomplete and ineffective theories only make sense on one side of the coin and are infinitely incomplete.
If humanity is to perish tomorrow, in the near future,
If he will have to abandon all his loved ones and habits,
If he will never again see the world that concerns him and in which he lives,
Every pleasure is followed by pain,
If time will take away everything you have,
If questions remain unanswered, there can be no positive social and psychological development.
And an aristocratic theory of classes will be meaningless for all thinking people who move to know life, to understand their own reality.
The final stage is the stage of peace and serenity.
This stage, which makes itself felt when one sees the perfect order in the universe and realizes that one belongs to the system according to a plan, becomes the key to everything in existence.
What am I, what am I doing here, where am I going, for what purpose do these animate and inanimate beings serve life, how are all food and drink and the benefits they contain programmed?
By thinking that these unconscious and unrecognizable beings somehow submit to me with a design and content according to what I need, the discoveries made by increasing existential awareness make it possible to move into the real dimensions of developmental psychology.
Yes, only nature-related components of life can contribute to psychological and psychosocial development.
Words that are only words and do not create a tendency to live, that invest only in the perception of a certain segment of the population and have no interaction with the realistic bonds of life can only be dry information and magazine-quality thought products.
Life defines a rightful responsibility for human beings at every stage of development.
And the content of this definition is for the world traveler;
Childhood will end,
Young people will pass,
It will come to the stage of old age that infantilizes mature people,
Like every living being, he will pass into eternity.
The world you live in is changing and will change. It too is not stopping and is heading towards a dark spot in the universe. If you discover why you exist in all this universal unity and what these inevitable phases want you to find, you will ensure sociopsychological development in the right way.
Dear Friend,
I wanted to address each issue separately and respond with an essay based on scientifically available data, but the idea of distraction and distraction challenged this decision. So I surrendered the subject to my heart in the last lines.
You can think of it as a conversation between two friends.
The subject of Sigmund Freud is one that I have long found morbid.
To theorize about human psychosexual development would be to tread on unnatural ground outside the path of truth.
Nature has programmed sexuality, whose main purpose is to ensure the continuation of the lineage, for all species.
In order to perform this act, it has encoded a pleasure in its passage.
The fact that some animals mate once a year, some consume their lives with a single mate, and some do not mate at all sends the message to lustful humans that this is not the case, and that although we are not smarter than you, we are much stronger than you in this sense. Human beings cannot reach the sexual power of a sparrow.
Yes, sexuality is a natural process in this context. Sigmund Freud analyzed this process on the basis of unbalanced desires and gave a psychosexual definition to almost every nerve ending. These views have been so believed and defended that even children with intestinal worms and itching in the anus can be defined as sexual phases.
Yes, during human development, due to hormonal structure, physiological changes and the urge to reproduce, human beings begin to take steps on a psychosexual path. To ensure that this activity does not lead to degeneration, it is important that moral principles and traditional rules that protect the dignity of human nature prevail in the family and in education.
Without this, it is difficult to control a lust that goes beyond its limits. A situation will arise that knows no rules, that may or may not be in accordance with its nature, that can make the lives of others unlivable, that can create conflicts, jealousies and outbursts, that can reduce man to a position lower than that of an animal.
But the truly blissful psychosexual development is that which matures within the framework of morality and needs and within the discipline of love.
Sigmund Freud’s theories lack knowledge of nature.
All processes of sexual development that are not degenerated, not triggered in the family or in the immediate environment, are surrounded by barriers of control. If there is no degeneration in nature, all stages react in their own healthy way. In this way, sexuality becomes no one’s sole purpose in life.
It is only a question of passing a few minutes of pleasure, of losing all the values of existence for the sake of bodily satisfaction, of raising the threshold of satisfaction because of this intense tendency, and of pursuing extraordinary relationships.
Many unnatural attempts are defended. Homosexuality is presented as a freedom of choice, when in fact it is a victimization. The distress and nausea that settles in one’s chest after each union is tried to be suppressed with many justifications.
Yes, if man cannot discover himself with his human qualities, if he cannot contribute to his own life and the lives of others in terms of the quality of life, a bee would be a nobler being than him.
If he does not develop his knowledge and cultural infrastructure, he becomes a simple creature trying to satisfy his stomach and lust even though he has the ability to monitor and manage the world.
Yes, my dear friend, I have tried to briefly share my thoughts on very long topics.
If you want me to expand on any topic or if you want answers to questions that arise from what I have written, I think it would be more productive if we proceed only in the question and answer form.
I would also like to know your opinions.
However, since I am very busy, I may reply a little late.
I hope you don’t mind.
Endless Greetings
